Leonor Maia
Lex O'Brien
Lex O'brien studied percussion at Ithaca College and has since performed professionally in nearly every style of music from country to free jazz to symphony to circus band. He has appeared with jazz notables such as George Benson, Joe Farrell, and Victor Lewis, and with rock legends Fleetwood Mac. He was an original member of touring rock band The Magnetics, and founder of the jazz ensemble ComplexBlue.
Masha Anisimova
Maria Anisimova plays the saxophone, flute and the clarinet. She started her studies in Moscow and then went on to finish her Bachelor and Master in the Mozarteum University Salzburg. Maria has taken part in various projects at the "Institut für Neue Musik" as well as in the "Bläserphilharmonie Salzburg" and with "Live Music Now" and is currently playing alto sax in the "Mozarteum BigBand"
Leonie Herteux
Leonie Herteux is a classical educated violinist and violist and plays in various classical ensembles. During her Masterstudies she started experimenting with jazz style improvisation. She enjoys to mix jazz and classic style and to break musical boundaries in a creative way.
Masha Anisimova & Band is a jazz band created in 2018 in Salzburg. The group has been playing together since, playing in several jazz clubs such as JazzIt and having been a part of the Jazz&TheCity Festival in 2019.
The members: Leonor Maia on the harp, Leonie Herteux on the violin, Masha Anisimova on the clarinet and saxophone and Lex O'Brien on the drums are often accompannied by other famous jazz musicians such as Klaus Kircher on the bass and Andreas Tentschert on the piano.
